Cheap conveyancing User Agreement

Introduction
Cheapconveyancing operates by referring its website users to its panel of Conveyancing specialists who are registered either with the law society of England and Wales or the council of licensed Conveyancers who are situated throughout England and Wales. Our users should note that we do not convey property in Scotland due to the different legal system.

Terms of use

These conditions do not affect your statutory rights:

1. If you elect to use this website for your Conveyancing these are our obligations to you:

We will nominate a conveyancer from our panel to act for you. You will then become their client subject to the protection rules and procedures of the law society of England and Wales or the council for licensed conveyancers. The conveyancer we nominate will be:

1. Registered with the law society of England and Wales or the council for licensed conveyancers as being entitled to carry out property Conveyancing within the jurisdiction of England and Wales.
2. Will specialise in residential property Conveyancing. Under no circumstances will we allocate a firm to act on your behalf with little or no experience of residential Conveyancing.
3. Have at least one million pounds of professional liability insurance

 

2. Exceptions to fixed legal fee offer

The cost for legal fees quoted on our website apply to standard residential conveyancing work only. They will not apply to legal work above and beyond the usual conveyancing process. The appointed firm will reserve the right to charge an additional fee for example, when dealing with defective title, tenants in the property who will not vacate, or shared ownership agreements.

 

3. Fees payable to other parties

The legal fees that we quote are the only element of the eventual price of which we have control. We do not have control over any payment to third parties such as disbursements, value added tax, stamp duty land tax, land registry fees, fees for searches or others. We cannot therefore guarantee that such payments will not rise or fall in accordance with government policy.

 

4. Buyers or sellers situated outside England & Wales

The legal fees quoted include standard postage and telephone costs within England & Wales. If you are situated outside England & Wales postage and telephone costs will be added to your bill.

 

5. Cancellation

You will have the right to cancel your Conveyancing service for any reason at any time prior to exchange of contracts but not after. All our transactions are on a no exchange, no fee and no risk basis. We have included a no exchange (remove semi colon) no risk fee which means you will not have pay any legal fees incurred up to the point of cancellation. You may have to pay money which has been expended on your behalf by the conveyancer such as local authority search fees and or any other disbursements. The no exchange no fee risk fee remains payable at all times.

 

6. Law and Jurisdiction

Your using our website and its contents will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England in respect of any legal disputes relating to this agreement.

 

7. Entire Agreement

This agreement together with our privacy policy forms the entire agreement between you and 009 Limited T/A Cheapconveyancing.com in relation to your use of this website and any of the services available through it and supersedes any previous representations, inducements or agreements relating to its subject matter.

 

8. Intellectual Property

The website cheapconveyancing.com is and all intellectual property and other rights relating to it are owned by 009 Limited of 17 St Peters Terrace, Lower Bristol Road, Bath, BA2 3BT.

 

9. Data Protection

At Cheapconveyancing.com we respect the privacy of our users and will treat all personal information about you in accordance with our privacy policy. We will ensure that your personal information is securely stored and we will not provide any of your personal information to third parties except to one or more referral solicitors or conveyancing solicitors in order to provide conveyancing services under this agreement. By accepting this agreement you are consenting to the following:

A. We or parties acting on our behalf must store, host, transfer and other wise process your information in order to refer your request for conveyancing or conveyancing services to a solicitor or a conveyancing solicitor. You absolutely consent to us handling your personal information, which you have provided for delivery to one or more solicitor or conveyancing solicitor. We will do our best to ensure the appointed solicitor or conveyancing solicitor also takes adequate security measures in relation to your personal information. You also consent to us handling the information contained within the progress report for the purpose of providing you with access to that information.

B. Some of the personal information you supply may include sensitive information. You absolutely consent to the processing and or handling by us and or the appointed solicitor or conveyancing solicitor for the purpose of this agreement of all sensitive information supplied by you.
